IJO-AYO (dance of Joy) is a Congolese Dance and Drum theater. We present a repertoire of works from Central Africa. Ijo-Ayo is unique in its empowerment of dancers and drummers and represents cutting edge experiment, passion as well as traditions that have been passed down from the Elders. The dance and songs are based on traditional, authentic Congolese movements, originating from many different regions of the Congo. |
