The Almanor Art Show takes place this weekend, August 2nd and 3rd, on the cool green Collins Pine Lawn right on Hwy 36 in Chester. Show hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
The 39-year-old Almanor Art Show is one of Northern California's oldest and most respected exhibitions and sale of fine arts and crafts shows. It features 80 artists from three states. A variety of food and beverages will also be available and there is music both afternoons. There is no admission fee to attend.
This well attended show has had a varied and devoted regional following for decades. "Many plan annual vacations around this event and people come from 100 miles or more away," remark show coordinators from Plumas Arts. "You could not find a more idyllic setting. We are grateful to the Collins Pine Company who have invited us back to this location for last 20 years and we are very proud of the quality of the artists who attend."
There is an extraordinary variety of art: jewelry, paintings, drawings pottery, fabric arts, photography, pottery and numerous other unique types of handcrafted arts; all booths are hosted by the talented individuals who created the works.
